About Welding
TIG Welding:
Tungsten Inert Gas welding is an arc welding process that uses a tungsten electrode to produce the weld and an inert gas insteadof a flux to sheild the welding area. A filler metal is used to fill the weld and strengthen it.
This process is used for welding;
Mild steel
Stainless steel
Aliminium
Magnesium
Copper and various other metals (please enquire)
ARC Welding:
Arc welding uses a welding power supply to create an electric arc between the base metal and the consumable electrode. The welding area is protected by a flux that forms part of the electrode and evaporates at the point of welding. This process does not produce a weld as clean as TIG welding and requires cleaning by means of grinding if need be.
This process is used for welding;
Mild steel
Stainless steel
MIG Welding:
Matal Inert Gas welding is a process where continuous consumable wire electrode is fed through a welding gun along with an inert gas for protection of the welding area. This process also does not produce a weld as clean as TIG, but it is much faster.
This process is used for welding;
Mild steel
Stainless steel
